Mashed celery and potatoes

  1. 700 g root celery
  2. 300 g floury potatoes
  3. 20 g butter
  4. 150 ml milk, hot
  5. salt, pepper
  6. nutmeg

1. Peel the celery and potatoes, coarsely dice both and place them into the Softiera insert.

2. Pour 150 ml water into the pot and place the Softiera insert inside it. Cover with Secuquick softline and close the lid.

3. Heat the pot on highest level up to the soft window, switch to a low level and cook approx. 5 minutes in the soft area. At the end of cooking time, put the pot in the inverted lid, allow it to depressurize by itself, and remove Secuquick.

4. Remove the Softiera insert from the pot and pour the remaining water in the pot. Put the celery and potatoes back in the pot. Add the butter, mash the potatoes and celery until smooth, adding the hot milk little by little.

5. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

Tip

  • For an even savory flavor, add crispy fried diced bacon.
