  1. 100 g popcorn kernels
  2. 1 tbs oil, e.g. peanut or coconut oil
  3. 1/2 tbs sugar or salt

1. Mix together the popcorn kernels, oil and sugar or salt in a cold pan.

2. Heat the pan on highest level up to the roasting window, then switch off and roast until all the kernels have popped. While cooking, shake the pan vigorously every so often.

3. As soon as “things quiet down” in the pan, the popcorn is ready to be served.

Tip

  • Coconut-caramel popcorn is a particularly delicious variation. To make this version, first prepare the popcorn as described above. Then add 2 tablespoons of coconut flakes along with 6 tablespoons of sugar to a small pot and switch to the highest level. As soon as the sugar begins to melt, switch to a low level and allow the mixture to caramelize while stirring continuously. Stir this mixture into the popcorn while it is still warm. Best enjoyed immediately.
