Mince meat casserole

  1. 3 slices toast
  2. 100 ml milk
  3. 2 onions
  4. 3 cloves of garlic
  5. 1 small piece of ginger
  6. 800 g minced meat (beef)
  7. 2 tbs apricot jam
  8. curry powder or AMC Exotica
  9. pepper
  10. Worcestershire sauce
  11. 2 eggs
  12. 150 g mascarpone
  13. 5 bay leaves

1. Dice the toasts and soak in half of the milk. Preheat oven to 220°C (top and bottom heat).

2. Peel and finely cut the onions, garlic and ginger.

3. Heat the pot on highest level up to the roasting window, switch to a low level and roast the mince meat in batches until it crumbles. Add the onion mixture and roast briefly.

4. Stir in apricot jam and soaked toast cubes and season with AMC Exotica, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

5. Place everything in the Lasagnera, cover with the lid and bake in the lower section of the oven for approx. 30 minutes.

6. Whisk the eggs with the rest of the milk and mascarpone and season with AMC Exotica and pepper.

7. Remove the lid, pour the egg mixture over top the mince meat and spread the bay leaves on top. Bake uncovered until done approx. 15 minutes until the surface is golden brown.
