Onion cheesecake

  1. 1 onion
  2. 150 g grated mixed cheese
  3. 75 g cubes of boiled ham or bacon
  4. 1 egg
  5. 3 tbs cream
  6. pepper
  7. chili powder / cayenne pepper powder
  8. nutmeg
  9. 1 puff pastry (round, ø of approx. 24 cm)

1. Peel and mince onion, mix well with cheese, diced ham or bacon, egg and cream, then season generously.

2. Cut out a circle of baking paper that’s a little bit bigger than the pastry base.

3. Place the pastry base with the baking paper in the pan, then poke deep holes in it with a fork. Place the pan on the hob an set it on highest level. Place Navigenio overhead and switch to the large level, prebake for approx. 3 minutes (for induction hobs, only approx. 2 minutes).

4. Switch off the heat (for an induction hob, leave at low level) and spread the topping on the puff pastry base.

5. Place the Navigenio overhead and switch to the large level, then bake for approx. 3 minutes.

6. Then switch the Navigenio to the low level to finish baking, for approx. 5 minutes.


  • Instead of ham or bacon, you can also use about 100 g finely chopped leek for the topping.
