  1. 150 g dark chocolate
  2. 150 g butter
  3. 250 g walnuts
  4. 5 eggs
  5. 200 g sugar
  6. 1 pinch salt
  7. whipped cream or vanilla ice cream as desired

1. Chop the chocolate into coarse pieces and place in a combi bowl with the butter. Pour water into the small pot and use the combi bowl as a bain-marie.

2. Heat the pot on highest level until the water is hot, then reduce to low alevel. Melt the chocolate and butter, but do not let it get too hot.

3. Very finely chop 200 grams of walnuts in the Quick Cut, coarsely chop the remaining nuts. Separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat the whites with the salt until stiff, adding half of the sugar. Beat the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until the mixture is light-yellow and cohesive.

4. Add the chocolate and butter mixture to the egg yolk mixture and mix. Add the nuts as well and mix. Carefully fold in the egg whites.

5. Cut out a circle of baking paper with the help of a 28 cm lid and place in the Softiera insert, pour in the batter.

6. Pour approx. 200 ml of water into the pot and place the Softiera insert inside it and remove the handle. Close with EasyQuick with the 24 cm sealing ring.

7. Heat the pot on highest level up to the steam window, switch to a low level, and cook for approx. 25 minutes in the steam area.

8. At the end of cooking time, remove the EasyQuick and let the cake cool for a few minutes.

9. Reinsert the handle, remove the Softiera insert and turn the cake out onto a plate. Let the cake fully cool down before serving. Cut into pieces and serve with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream as desired.
