Thin flatbread

  1. 550 g wheat flour
  2. 1 tbs baking powder
  3. 300 ml water, warm
  4. 1 tbs salt

1. Knead all ingredients into a smooth dough, divide into eight portions and roll out thin.

2. Heat the pan on highest level up until the perfect temperature for roasting is reached.

3. Switch to a medium level and place the flatbread inside the pan. Turn over after approx. 2 minutes and roast until done. Continue with the rest of the dough.

4. Top as you like or eat just the way it is.

Tip

  • If you like them a little crispier, let cool individually. Stack the flatbread on top of each other and cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap film if you want the flatbread to be soft, for example, to fill them with something later or roll them up, etc.
  • Make your flatbread unique and switch up the dough: - with whole wheat flour instead of wheat flour (slightly increase the amount of liquid then) - with vegetable juice (carrot or beet) instead of water - or by adding chopped herbs, poppy seeds, black or white sesame, curry, turmeric, or chili pepper
