Spanish tomato bread

  1. 4 slices bread (e.g. country bread)
  2. 2 tomatoes
  3. 1 clove of garlic
  4. sea salt
  5. olive oil

1. Halve the tomatoes. Cut off the ends of the clove of garlic.

2. Heat the pan on highest level up until the perfect temperature for roasting is reached

3. Switch to a low level, place the first slices of bread in the pan and roast until both sides are crisp. Remove from the pan and rub with garlic and tomato.

4. Round off with some salt and olive oil. Prepare the rest of the bread slices in the same way and serve.

Tip

  • Cut the bread into approx. 1 cm thick slices. The thinner, the crisper it will turn out!
  • Serve bread slices with Spanish Iberian cured ham or anchovies and aioli (Spanish garlic mayonnaise).
