Marbled muffins

  1. 50 g butter, softened
  2. 50 g brown sugar
  3. 1/2 package vanilla sugar
  4. 1 egg
  5. 125 g flour
  6. 1 ts baking powder
  7. 75 ml buttermilk or milk
  8. 2 tbs cocoa
  9. 2 tbs chocolate shavings
  10. 2 tbs powdered sugar

1. Beat the butter with the sugar until fluffy, then stir in the vanilla sugar and egg. Mix the flour and baking powder and then stir in the buttermilk or milk to form dough.

2. Divide the dough into two halves. Stir cocoa into one half and chocolate shavings into the other.

3. Divide the two doughs, one after the other, into muffin cups (of around 50 ml in volume each), then use a small fork to marble them slightly. Place the cups into the Softiera insert.

4. Place the pot on the Navigenio and heat on level 6 up to the roasting window, switch to level 2, and place the Softiera insert in the pot. Put the lid on and bake the muffins for approx. 15 minutes (to start with).

5. Place the pot in an inverted lid, place the Navigenio overhead and switch to small level, then bake for approx. 7 minutes.

6. Let the muffins cool down, dust with powdered sugar and serve.
