Bulgur salad (kisir)

  1. 150 g bulgur (wheat grain)
  2. 200 ml water
  3. salt
  4. 1 onion
  5. 1/2 bunch parsley
  6. 1/2 bunch mint
  7. 2 spring onion
  8. 3 tomatoes
  9. 1 yellow bell pepper
  10. 4 tbs lemon juice
  11. 1 ts cumin seeds
  12. 1 tbs tomato paste
  13. 2 tbs olive oil
  14. pepper

1. Rinse the bulgur well under running water. Add the water, bulgur and half a teaspoon of salt to the pot and stir. Cover with the Secuquick softline and close the lid.

2. Heat the pot on highest level up to the soft window, switch to a low level and cook with time setting “p” in the soft area. After cooking is finished, place the Secuquick in an inverted lid and allow it depressurize by itself.

3. Peel and mince the onions. Remove the parsley and mint leaves from the stems and finely chop.

4. Clean the spring onions and slice them into thin rings. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes, remove their skins and dice them. Clean and dice the bell pepper.

5. Mix the bulgur with the lemon juice, cumin, tomato paste and olive oil, then stir in the rest of the salad ingredients. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
